So,I'm not so sure I told you all,but today I got my tonsils and adenoids removed.
I was really nervous because I'm like fuckin deathly scared of needles,but the anesthesiologist distracted me while the nurse was putting my IV in. So that went well.
Then they drugged me and I was stoned off my ass. This lady was like talking above me while I was lying on the operating table and I found it hilarious for some reason,so I was laughing and everything was sort of sideways and spinny.
Very trippy.Not sure what that was,last time I had Valium.
I can't really remember falling asleep but I have the slightest memory of the fun Asian guy putting the mask over my face.
The next thing I remember I was in a new room and confused and in so much pain that I just cried and cried and I was pretty much high,I thought my mom was floating in her chair...yeah.
They had me breathing oxygen out of those things that go in your nose but it was irritating me so I kept pulling at it and I had a bloody nose from getting my adenoids out.
This is pretty much the most pain I've ever been in. And on top of that,I have another sore throat from the breathing tube I had in before I woke up.
Fuck my life.
I can't talk,eat,drink,swallow. And I'm tired as hell. Whenever I fall asleep the medicine wears off and I wake up.
I guess it's a lot harder to recover and shit when you get your tonsils out at and older age and it hurts more,but mine were absolutely huge. I needed to do this for a long,long time. So I'll get over the pain eventually and heal just fine.
But in the mean time,
it hurts like a bitch.
